At the Veldman Family Psychology Clinic, we conduct research that helps us understand and support the well-being of individuals and families. Our current research partners include faculty at the William J. Shaw Center for Children and Families as well as those within the Department of Psychology.

The Shaw Center conducts innovative research to understand and support healthy development across the lifespan, focusing on themes such as adversity, intervention, relationships, and well-being.

They facilitate research by providing shared laboratory space and staff assistance, offering hands-on experiences for students, and hosting the Child and Family Therapy Clinic. Located within the South Bend community with a satellite research center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, they strive to develop mutually beneficial relationships, learning from community partners and research participants to support families and respect their multifaceted experiences.
